Default Time limit for US pilots abroad returning for a Airline job

Have a question about returning to the USA for a job. Does anybody know of a time limit that a USA pilot can be out of the USA and get a job in the USA.

If this is true, are there certain US Airlines that won't hire you because they carry the US Mail?

If there is a time limit, how long do you have to be back in the US in order to get a job in the US?

cheers

You might want to ask this ? on the cargo forum, I believe UPS has a limitation due to their USPS contract. I don't know of any major US carriers that have a limitation, but I only applied to two.

From what I understand, it is FedEx that has the residency requirement, not UPS, for what it is worth.

I can't speak for other Air Carriers, but for FedEx, here is the Company Published requirement,

**Ability to obtain clearance from United States Postal Service for handling or access to U.S. mail, which includes FBI fingerprint check, and candidate must have resided in the United States for the last five consecutive years (except for U.S. military assignments)

Hope this helps, Good Luck
