Default Looking for some opinions

Hi,

I just registered with APC, because I was looking for some answers in regards to the Etihad application. Upon reviewing the threads about Etihad, it looks like I don't even have a chance based upon my qualifications. I was just looking to get some opinions about what my chances are flying overseas with the qualifications that I have.

Currently I am a EMB-145 Captain, I have about 5400 hours of total time, a lot of that in Cessnas and other piston airplanes. Total jet time is around 2500 or so, with the last 400 or so as a Captain. I am typed on the EMB-145. I also have about 2900 PIC in pistons both single and mutli.

I was just wondering if any of you pilots out there had some thoughts on where I might look for future job opportunities. I am about to get bumped back to the right seat thanks to a reduction in my company's flying so I am looking at gaining a bunch more SIC time on the EMB-154 which probably is worthless.

So again, if anyone has some suggestions on where to look or what I might be thinking at this point as far as where to go next, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
EY

Go to one of their road shows that are going on this month. Bring the items listed in the thread about the road shows. You will probably be interviewed on the spot. That is the way it worked at the Emirates road shows. I would go for it if I were you. Good luck.

They are not interviewing on the spot for anyone, but they will schedule you for an interview IF you are current and qualified on the Airbus.

I would say you are qualified for quite a few jobs. Send in your stuff to everyone that has an online app process. Emirates, Gulf Air, Oman Air, Etihad, etc.

Things can change quickly, and with the numerous orders that both Etihad and Emirates have, their requirements, while steep now, may change in the future. That change may happen sooner than later.

Hope that helps!
