Default Suspected SCAM - FORMCO

Got this in the mail today, job seekers beware, there seems to be a rise in crew staffing scams lately. This one doesn't have an operating website at the address listed (free hosting parking page) and a call to the number was less than inspiring (an understatement).

In a job market where pilots are on the street, it's only a matter of time before scams that prey on false hope appear. Please deal with only with known companies and make sure you can validate their identity.

Got a crew staffing horror story? Post it here.

What jobs?

I had sent an email, PM, and forum post asking for transparency in the post. At a minimum, I asked for the airline he represented and the terms of employment. I didn't get a response to the email or PM, but in the forum post he declined to say "on a public board".

This was a little too suspicious so I removed the post as a violation of the forum Terms of Service.

Default Straight approach

Here,s some advice for you guys looking to get work overseas .
Do a google search or wikipedia search which ever you prefer and get the contact info from the carriers site if they tell you that they use a contractor ,get said contractors contact info from them ok?
Its easier and less gut wrenching in the end .
Besides that if you do get to deal with the carrier directly at least you will get all of your hr rate and not have to give someone else part of your money for something that you can do yourself savvy?
Good luck and I hope this helps.

I received an email the other day for a flying job in Africa claiming to be a government airline for domestic routes... I deleted a couple of days ago (wished I would have saved it to post).... there were a bunch of grammatical errors (worse than mine!) but it promised $200k/year for an A320 FO with mins like 1000TT 250 Multi Contact was out of London wanted certificate numbers, etc ..... I deleted it... never heard of them

For those who speak French, here is Formco:

Formco - Accueil

Based on my Google search, it would appear that they may be one and the same, but the UK version of the site is not up yet.

Just Google FORMCO UK LTD.
