Default Hainan Airlines

Would anyone have any info on Hainan Airlines? I was wondering who holds the contract and what the terms and conditions may be.

Thanks

All I can tell you from direct conversation from existing Hainan 330 Captains is don't expect to be based according to what's advertised. Most flying for expats is out of Beijing and back. If you don't smoke you might want to start practicing as all the local long haul crews light it up in the cockpit. No problem with pay though...

Is it true that under china law, your license is only valid for 6 months?

With the air quality in China, you might as well be a smoker. Quite frankly I've decided that I wouldn't want to be based in China simply for health reasons. Maybe there are some areas with clean air, but I haven't seen them. I know of a marathon runner who was a teacher in Beijing for many years who got lung cancer. Coincidence? Hmm...

Anyway, I got a solicitation for Hainan from GPSCrew Global Pilot Service Official Site (Global Pilot Service) a few months back. Might check with them. Hopefully someone will weigh in with local knowledge.
