Default Jet Airways no longer hiring!

Dear Captain,

We regret to inform you that due to downsizing policy in Jet Airways, we will not be in a position to retain you as a captain on B737 fleet.

Hence your contract is cancelled.

We will get in touch with you once the situation is better.

Inconvinience caused is deeply regreted.

Thanks & Regards,

If India is no longer hiring, we are all screwed.

Indian airlines dug themselves into a deeper hole than US airlines are even in. So I don't think we are all screwed. India wasn't the place to be anyway.

Indian Airlines are in a much better position as their overheads are nothing compared to the behemoths we have here in U.S.and as far as the money is concerned India was definitely the place to be

Food poisoning can happen anywhere,if you go to good food joints in India you will be amazed with quality of food and a very friendly service.

Jet and Kingfisher are combining I think, so the other airlines may still be hiring.

A320, I know you are Indian and proud of your country as you should be, it is a beautiful place, but not everyone sees the world the way you do. The wages the Indian carriers are paying for 737 or A320 captains are industry standards and nothing to get too excited about. They are better than RJ FO pay here in the states, but that is not who is getting hired there. Indian carriers are interested in captains, so higher wages should be expected.
