Sonny - I have a friend at Air Vietnam on the A320 and he enjoys working there. I'm not sure who the contractor is.

Best of luck, we have a bunch of America West guys hitting the streets right now as well, and I am sad to be losing some great people to fly with. This business sucks at times.

Thanks Cactusmike!

Why stick around at the bottom of a money losing legacy wasting more and more of your "earning" years? That is pretty much my attitude so I fiqure I will GET OUT before the furlough ax hits me.

I have found a few UAL bubbba's that are at Air Vietnam so I wouldn't mind giving them a shot....if they let me!

Keep the info coming!

Default Any tips for a guy with a little lower time?

Any tips for a guy with a little lower time?

I have about 2000 TT, 1000 Turbine, SIC Types on the EMB-145 and SF-340. I'm looking at my second furlough in the last 6 months, and have always been interested in the international flying.

Any chance? Thanks for the help.

Hate to break it to ya, but those SIC types aren't worth the paper they are written on outside of the US. Almost all countries want a full type with no restrictions. By no restrictions I mean the circling restriction.
Competition is tough right now and even high time guys are struggling to find jobs, maybe you can find a job overseas but I would not bet the house on it.

Same boat here. 2 time on unemployment in less than 3 years. SIC in SF340b and EMB 170/175/190 but those SIC are crap. Sick of regional hopping but no chance of recall anytime soon.

Sonny, ANA is really not a bad place to hang your hat. I've been here for 2 years now and I'm enjoying it very much and so are all the guys here, they treat us and pay us well so it might be worth your while to take a look at it

Put your profile on PARC aviation, they are my contract company and have been very good to me

You did??? I wouldn't be surprised if we actually know each other, I flew for the parent company after Air Europa sold Air Santo Domingo. Servicios Aereos Profesionales, I flew the Let-410's and the B-1900's for them. The good old DR can be frustrating at times, but it sure is fun
