Default Air Macau or Viva Macau info?

Hi All, wondering if anyone has info about Air Macau or Viva Macau. I've got a friend walking my resume in, and was wondering how long it should take to hear back, what's the interview process, how's QOL, etc. You know - the usual questions one would have when researching an airline. I've tried the search function and tried pprune, but I still haven't turned up much. Thanks.

I was also looking at something called MDLR flying Avros in India. Any info on them?

Probably not getting anywhere with Air Macau if you are American. Viva not a bad place at all...but, better have a 767 type with time. We have some without...that was before the downturn.

Be very careful of this airline, my friend went over to interview. (He was Airbus 320 type rated) They told him that he would not get paid for the first 6 months. After the 6 months and on the line they would only pay him about 16-20 thousand USD a year.

Wow - I had figured it out to be about 40K the 1st year. How long ago did he interview? Was it that they wouldn't pay during training or they wouldn't pay his first 6 mos on the line?

He finished his A320 Type Rating about 4 months ago, so I would figure he interviewed within the last 2 months. Not sure if they wouldn't pay him during training or they wouldn't pay his first 6 months, I will have to ask when I get a chance. Just for some information, he was A320 Type Rated but had no hours in the plane, maybe this played a role?? Still sounds very shady to me.
