Default Mexicana shuts down today

It might be really busy for us freight dogs? We were already hauling a ton of stuff from Mexico!

89 years old and poof another one bites the dust. Making milions or billions one day can easily turn into levees breaking the next. The entire operation underwater.

Gunter keep up the great work boycotting everybody using UPS way to help those who lost jobs. I'm sure you are making a difference.

This is what happens when you have arrogant management in positions throughout a company. This is what happens when you make a job so miserable that "almost" every employee looks for ways "not" to work.

UPS is not even that old of a company. Don't think it could happen? It could happen anywhere.....

Over 100 airplanes. Decent sized operation.

everybody (the media, the public) is blaming the pilots for "making too much"... looks like their salaries are comparable to those of Southwest. I can see that, for a strugling Latin American carrier that kind of money could be considered as too much...

This company was run into the ground by bad management not employee compensation.

The sad part about this is the company will "emerge" from this with employee compensation slashed by some drastic measure. Management of course will probably get a "bonus" for "saving" the company. No one remembers it was their (management's) fault for getting the company into that shape to start with.

The cracks in the damn usually start small and no one really pays any attention to it, till its too late. Point the finger at the employee's. Its easier to blame a "generic" group, than accept responsibility.

Of course it could happen anywhere. Anyone (not saying you) but anyone that thinks otherwise is living in la la land.
