Same here... I'm typed but I don't have 500 hours
I guess if they get really desperate people like me might have a chance

kbronc and karan,

Send me your resumes. I know that SICs aren't in demand in India....however, myself and my colleague waiting to hear from china/saudi airlines to clear some routes for overseas pilots and the mins. PM me and i'll get you my email address. I can't promise anyything obviously, but it's a start. Right now the demand is for 170/190 experience.

I'm gonna hazard a guess that a "circling in VMC only" restriction on your license is a deal-breaker? For the right job, I suppose plunking down $1500 at flightsafety to get it taken off might be worth it.

Yeah, they aren't fans of it overseas....but if you're with a company for a year or two they will usually take it off in training or help out with the costs. Let me know if you're interested JBus.

Hi!

500 hours in type is the norm. I've also seen 1000/300/200/100 and 0 in type.

I know a guy in China who was hired, and they did the training to remove the VMC circling only thing. Other guys have paid to have it done in the states beforehand.

I would LOVE a job like this, but I'm not typed.

There are TONS of open jobs in Asia right now if you're typed in xxx. There's even a lot of turboprop openings. If you're not typed in the in-demand airframes, is is VERY difficult to get a job.

Keeping everyone updated on this,

Just got word of a company overseas having upped the requirement to 25 Captains.

Requirements-
ATPL with 1500 Hrs on type is the proffered, but anybody with ATPL and time on the EMB 170 would do.
If you are interested in this, let me know. Email me at Aaron@njetaviation.com

Also,

There is a need for anyone with the type and some time on the Avro!
same email for that if anyone is interested.

-Crewdawg

I'm looking at putting a recruiting event together for overseas stuff in Chicago at some point. If that sounds like a possibility for some of you let me know.
