Speaking of Iran Air, one time I was walking thru the Dubai terminal, and an Iran Air 747SP crew walked by. I have to say that the 10 FA's were the least attractive cabin crew that I have ever seen. I still tried to hook up with them, but they would have none of that.

For some strange reason, the FA's were not turned on when I did my best Zohan imitation, and whispered sweet nothings (in Hebrew) to them.

Default Her Story

I received permission from the thread starter to post her story here, particularly since she followed our advice and posted at PPrune. My hope is to be able to help her locate Captain Abedini. If anyone happens to see an Iran Air crew during your own travels, stop and ask around, if possible.

There is a long story behind the request.

30 years ago I was a young girl on her holidays with family in Vero Beach Florida, Met a young man who was learning to fly a single engine plane as part of a new program of Iranian pilots to be. He was only about 19 years old, me only 16 but we became friend, we remained in contact for about 3 years, through letters and he even did a visit to Canada, He sent photos when he went to somewhere else to learn 747s.

Then all hell broke loose in Iran, change in leadership in the 70s. He tried to contact me once, but never heard again. Life went on, but I thought of him and his family often as I listen to period news broadcasts about what was happening in Iran. My thought was he likely didn't survive. But still occassionally I would put his name on the web to see what would happen.

With the new news in Iran hitting the tv. my mind went back to this young pilot of long ago and I keyed his name in one more time. This time a google search produced this Pilot Job Listing For Iran Air - pilotcareercentre.comCaptain Hassan Ghasemi DMD Captain Nasser Abedini A300-600TRE Captain Ali Vazeri fleet director MD82 Captain Farhad Kermani F-100 TRE&TRI ...http://www.pilotinterviews.com/JobLi...asp?JobID=2473 I hit the page and the link was discontinued, but it made me think he made it through the changing world in Iran.

I wanted to see how his life had gone. Did he achieve all he wanted, did he have his own family , as I did, I just needed to close a book.

If you know of any other possibilities for me I would be glad to hear them, I have emailed this pilotcareecentre.com but have had no response.

Sadly, I can offer no real help... However, I wish you the best in your search.

Shall try to search for your friend through the embassy contact, but that will take a place at early fall since living to our eu base to fly with my capt brother, as soon as I shall return, will just make a fast phone call to the embassy of Iran from our embassy, but my other friend from Iran brother is a Capt for Iran Air, and his second brother is a pilot at BA, his wife is still here so will talk with her tomorrow.I had helped her with a visa. But, do not be surprised if you shall not find any more topics to talk about. The same had happened to my mum she had founded her childhood friends last year, the three brothers, and two of them are back in US the millionares they are dealing with the golf companies a third one is flying. Now I am in touch with them, and I had mentioned to one of them please stop posting your personal history to some actress at her website, since she is just sweeping you away with one sentence, and told them that it would be great to get a passport back, and etc.... its started. Like they are not sure, cause of a history and etc..... all the time long.......
One of the brother had founded me on an African bloc while at a british school in Africa achieving my helicopter license at the age of 12 with a capt, he had recognized me blond hair and eyes he told me when mum had sent him a picture of me and I had posted this, and its started like I had changed an email and etc.... I am not responding and etc..... And now I am in touch with them, a best way do not look too much into the past just talk about a current situation....I will check it for you. NOw, I need to get off M
