Default Egypt Air

Anyone here fly for them? or had any experience with them? I have 265tt with commercial and multi. A friend at my school is from Cairo and dad is the equal to FAA administrator over there and says they can get me on at Egypt Air so I am just looking for more info on the company, pay, living in Cairo, Etc. Thanks Guys

Why not ask your friend or his father who is on a par as am FAA Administrator.

Mike I think that's not true, Egypt Air hires only Egyptian national! And probably you need the time and type on their airplanes.

Thats what I have always seen but he says they will hire americans and since they don't have a big pool of qualified pilots in Egypt they take people with hours like me but they require you to stay 7 years.

To the above post. I posted this to get more than one opinion on the topic other than his. He doesn't work for them yet so he has no idea how their pay scale works. Figured I might find someone on here who works for them that would know exactly.

No I haven't which is why I want opinions like these....thanks. I need to find out from someone who works for egypt air if you have to live in cairo or can you live in another city they fly to and just jump over to cairo to start your shifts

Lived in Saudi Arabia. Cairo was awesome to visit each year that I went. It was also a blast to take the boat tour "up" the Nile to Aswan.

I actually know to guys that are Egyptian nationals starting ground school for 737 types in August. They told me that you need to be a national and able to speak their language.

Well my contact is sending copys of my medical and license and TT to his dad to get the wheels turning. I will keep yall updated on what happens.
