Olympic Airways/Airlines
6 April 1957 - 29 September 2009 end of an era.

A true Legacy gone, if only the Onassis family was still around .. airline would of been one of the biggest.

Airbus 340s and all 737s are parked, some pics and videos from the fly by of the last Airbus 340-313X flight.

Olympic Air is the new company ... but ... most pilots of the old will not be flying for them, Long range routes are done so are the A340s. It's a whole different company, the real OLYMPIC is gone ... good luck to the new OLYMPIC as we call it!

Yes they started operations on October 1st, 2009. Currently flying Airbus 320s 319s and Dash Q400s.

My father worked for OAL for 30 years in Chicago and Washington DC as Manager of Governmental Affairs dealing with the DOT. Actually had dinner with Mr. Onassis a couple of times.........

Sad to see it go.
