Wow, I was attacked and not even around to defend myself...... Looks like others did it for me, thanks. Funny how people with no idea of a subject will pipe up behind anonymity. I will add that the only reason I differentiate between dispute and post dispute guys is that post-dispute guys joined using the same procedures one would need to follow as today. I make no judgements or comment on those who joined during the dispute.
Now, regarding converting of licences, I think you're going to find things have changed. I believe that QF and DJ now require passes in all the AUSTALIAN ATPL subjects before they will accept your application. An ATPL converted from a US ATP by passing the Australian Air Law exam is no longer good enough (thank f*** I'm already in). You're in for an incredible lesson on the meaning of the word pedantic but that's another story. I don't know where Jet * stands in all this. All the best.
Rgds,
TDK

TDK
My pleasure TDK - BTW, had a great time flying about and exploring your adopted country. I love OZ! I made some nice friends down there, at least from your film industry.

What a useless, ignorant, immature bloody comment. Keep it to yourself or take it elsewhere.
I'm having a hard time putting 2 and 2 together here.

Skydog.

Perhaps you need some math classes. . .or perhaps something else. Seriously though, if you want to know what I am talking about you will have to do better then that. You could always start by asking a question.

Really mate, I am very confused as to what you are getting at. Please explain as I am morbidly curious as to what you don't understand.

Or don't, I lose interest fast.

TDK,
Thanks for the info. Probably a bad start that I had to look up pedantic; red neck yankee no speekie da queens English! QF and DJ both have verbiage like "ATPL or CPL with passes in all written exams for ATP." I took it to read if I successfully converted my FAA ATP to an Aus ATPL I would not be required to complete all the written exams. However, to pass ALL subjects is a big difference from doing the conversion and Air Law. Jet* is an option, but I don't want to be perceived as just buying my way into the market. I consider Oz just as much a home as the US, and I want to continue flying as a professional.

Koru, perhaps we have another one with a reading comprehension problem. Some of our schools aren't as good as the schools Down Under.
