Default Emirates work schedule

What are the lines like here? Is it possible to still keep a home in the U.S and only live in UAE while working? Thanks.

In a word, NO. Remember, it will take three calendar days of travel to go to and from the US. Maybe once and a while you will get seven days off in a row during the month. Now if you have a home in one of EK destination cities in the US, usually can get one maybe tow ULRs to that destination. The lines are preferential bidding with manual inserts to keep the hours up and not to allow too much time off in a row. My two cents (dirhams)

Great thanks. I live in Los Angeles so that could help but it sounds like you need to commit to living in Dubia. Can you jumpseat anytime?

Emirates is not a commuting job, if you would like to come home with any sort of frequency, you need to look at other commuting job options

Wanna commute? Look at Asian gigs. Korean, ANA, some Chinese airlines... but that's it.

Middle East airlines generally don't do the commuting thing - NAS Air in Saudi being an exception. Some corporate operators in the Middle East do the rotation schedules, but that's about it.
