Default Korean Air check out

I have a class date at Korean Air in the new future. Anyone have anything recent about the check out from class room through OE? I have heard that the Korean instructors and Korean FO's are not very happy or friendly towards the expats. Are the check rides, OE, and line checks fair from the Koreans? I have to know if I really want to put up with a lot of crap from them.

I don't work there, but my best friend does. He's been there for almost 9 years. When he joined some other people we know went there, some didn't make it. The main reason being they didn't get along. I think the operative mindset is, " cooperate and graduate ". Just smile, say yes, and try to get along. That's probably the best way to go.

Unbelievably. many pilots leave an airline and try to take their old procedures and callouts with them. They are resistant to change and argumentative while in training. Those kind of people always have a difficult time adjusting. The best advice I ever got was from a D.O. at a scumbag non-sched I worked for in the early 90s. It was, " I sign your paycheck, fly the airplane the way we want you to ". If you can do that, the rest is easy.

And that goes down as the best advice I've ever read.

Last I heard KAL was working on expat FO contract. Is that a rumor or is there a good possibility that KAL will hire foreign FO's? Did you all get hired through contract with rishworth, parc, etc? thanks
