Hopefully you have other options. It's horrible. I just left and it's the best thing I have ever done. Training sucks, chief pilots are mental midgets with zero support for line pilots. Worked like a slave with zero labor laws. If you think they will honor that contract they showed you you're nuts. Dubai isn't bad, the company is horrible. Be forewarned.

To each his own. I have heard stories about how bad emirates is. How i see it, nothing is worse than the disrespect the US regional pilots are getting. I'd rather take my chances if Emirates offered me the job because it can only go up from this point.

flydubai is better in terms of company culture. A lot of guys here won't jump ship to Emirates. I sure won't. Work is tough, though. Lots of night flights and changing sleep cycles. And yes, it is far above the regional airlines and experience is great.

It not really feeder. It is not set up that way at all. I don't have any numbers for you, but I do not get the impression that majority of our passengers are connecting on Emirates. It a lot more like the low cost/short and medium haul arm of the Emirates group.

Below is a few of the current "gems" out of Emirates/the UAE GCAA in the past few weeks:
Leave allocation 2015/6 - PPRuNe Forums
New GCAA Flight Time Limitations - It Could Not Be Any Worse - PPRuNe Forums
You better look REALLY hard at the "disrespect" you perceive you receive at your current employer before you flush your aviation career down the drain coming to Emirates. You truly have no idea as to how "disrespected" you will feel until you commit to Emirates and enjoy their middle east brand of "respect".
Once you leave it is EXCEEDINGLY difficult to return unless you're VERY lucky with timing. In my opinion unless you are prepared to commit the rest of your career to dealing with things such as those above (which, for some, there is no choice), I would HIGHLY suggest you very carefully consider the rest of your aviation career.
Don't base a career on the next 12/24 months. Just saying......

"So why so many pilots still want to go there?"
Because a lot of EU/US pilots going "know it all" and don't take advice from anybody. Big new shiny jets, big egos, big promises. Obviously some are well informed and decides to go anyway, but I'm guessing that group is fairly small.
Then there's the South American/Asian/African pilots going and for (some of) them it's still a pretty good deal compared to packages on offer back home.
Question is, are there really "many pilots" that still wants to go to EK?
