Default Emirates Two for One Sale

Mr. vagabond and I are interested in JFK to MXP in November. Has anyone taken their A380 in economy? I saw their seat map - it's 3-4-3.

Any comments, advice, perspective appreciated.

I have only ridden up front....But I did walk thru the cabin. It looked much nicer and more spacious than any other economy cabin I have seen. Enjoy!

By all means support one of the banes of our profession while they exercise their ill-gotten 7th freedom 'rights' and dump seats into the trans-Atlantic market. Happy trails.

Hahaha, I think you mean 'Fill seats'.

380 economy is the best econ I have flown, and I have tried many. JFK to Dubai about 5 years ago.
Seat is comfy, and the bottom slides out some as the seat reclines.
Inflight entertainment screen is the size of an iPad.

Hmmm, sounds like a few of the reasons the seats are full, even though the ticket costs more.

A product that the market couldn't possible support. Only with $42B in government subsidies over 10 years could the ME3 offer such things like FC 'apartments.'

Whatever you may say about the ME and Asian carriers, their service in the cabin and in general beats almost every US airline. Whatever, their internal issues may be, to the customer they put on a very good show. The European carriers are also better than ours when it comes to service. I remember travelling from Saudi in the 90's to KATL. We would hope that the flight was run by KLM and not NWA when we bought a code-share ticket. As a US expat, I would say that outstanding customer service experience is prevalent predominantly outside the USA these days.

Agreed......! We need to stop trying to find excuses and start recognizing that there is a problem...., if you look at the best performing airlines around the world..., you just cannot pin "subsidies or young cabin attendants" as a common denominator..., many of the best airlines in the world operate in a very competitive market with work rules as demanding if not more than those in the US..., many of them have a very senior staff as well.

They just do a better job, plain and simple!

What about it? I haven't seen details yet.
4 flts, 76hrs with 20 days off for June. THAT is what I want. I make enough money.

Of which zero ($0) had to do with EK.

The US airlines shed BILLIONS of dollars in debt via bankruptcy court alone. UAL took over $200,000 per year from my parents by obliterating their pensions. (Thankfully they were very successful investors). So don't expect an ounce of support from me

Well, I know it is hard to fathom ( even for me), but a lot of people have more money than they know what to do with.
Selling that apartment, which happens a lot according to my friends to the south, pays for the entire flight.

Anyone else want to hijack the thread? Maybe we can talk about Brexit. Hillary bashing could be fun at least.

Of course.
