Hi all,

Just curious - our flight school is doing a sort of a meet & greet with some executives from PlaneSense and was very interested.

How are the upgrade times for someone with 1100TT? Also not sure how I would log time in the right seat - I've done some digging and from the sound of things, I can log it as total & turbine being the FO is required as per SpecOps.

Perhaps you should get a little more time under your belt rather than worrying about how fast upgrade time is Hoss.
As for logging time, if an SIC is required per the OpSpecs you log SIC time.

Upgrades are based on merit, company standing, and seniority. You can expect anywhere from 3 months - 2+ years based on those factors. We have a history of upgrades in that range.

Our opspecs and mspecs (the 91K version of opspecs) require 2 pilots for both the Pilatus and the jet. All of the time is loggable.

91k requires 1500 hrs TT for PIC. So depending on how much you fly you could have almost a year just to get to that minimum. Other than that, seniority, merit, and company need. Captains that you fly with will write LORs when the time comes and if they feel you are ready.

Can someone describe the insurance benefits please? Hmo, Ppo? Monthly out-of-pocket costs? Vision? 401k?
Thanks.

I don't use the insurance, but 401K is a 3:1 match up to 2%. So, contribute 6% to get 2% match. I've heard the insurance is pretty good, 80% of premiums paid by the company and pretty low max out of pocket per year.

Any commercial VFR maneuvers? I'm just wondering what kind of stuff I should be expecting to have to do, so I can bone up on some of the stuff I might not have done for a while before starting training.
I'm scheduled for April's class and was also interested on what I could start prepping for prior to start...any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks..Happy New Year!

The company will send you a link to some of their materials and reviewing them will be all you really need to do. If you are not IFR proficient or it has been awhile, spend some time reviewing everything and chair flying or getting in a sim. Any other questions, PM me.

Any thoughts on Planesensese changing the pay scales? The regionals are all starting to raise pay and add some better benefits for commuters. I'd think PS would have to keep pace in order to attract new-hires.
Thanks
