Hi all,
Just curious - our flight school is doing a sort of a meet & greet with some executives from PlaneSense and was very interested.
How are the upgrade times for someone with 1100TT? Also not sure how I would log time in the right seat - I've done some digging and from the sound of things, I can log it as total & turbine being the FO is required as per SpecOps.

As for logging time, if an SIC is required per the OpSpecs you log SIC time.

Upgrades are based on merit, company standing, and seniority. You can expect anywhere from 3 months - 2+ years based on those factors. We have a history of upgrades in that range.
Our opspecs and mspecs (the 91K version of opspecs) require 2 pilots for both the Pilatus and the jet. All of the time is loggable.

I don't use the insurance, but 401K is a 3:1 match up to 2%. So, contribute 6% to get 2% match. I've heard the insurance is pretty good, 80% of premiums paid by the company and pretty low max out of pocket per year.

Thanks! What kind of things should I expect in training? I assume the ground school and test at the end will cover part 135 regs, op specs, etc. What do you do in the sim training and checkride besides IFR flying/approaches, emergency stuff, etc? Any commercial VFR maneuvers? I'm just wondering what kind of stuff I should be expecting to have to do, so I can bone up on some of the stuff I might not have done for a while before starting training.
Thanks..Happy New Year!

The company will send you a link to some of their materials and reviewing them will be all you really need to do. If you are not IFR proficient or it has been awhile, spend some time reviewing everything and chair flying or getting in a sim. Any other questions, PM me.
