Regionals ask for 1.500 or sometime even less

Captain at Planesense needs 1.500

It's obvious that at this hiring environment any company need to hire street captains

Woooopwooop pull up! Terrain terrain

Fine fine, maybe not a panic button, but at least some cause for concern.

I got a call from HR on Wednesday, offering me a slot in the January 3rd class (i'm sure others received a similar call). Being only two weeks away, I denied it and immediately regret my decision. I called back and was able to be moved into the February 14th class however.

Anyone in that class? Haven't seen anyone mention it!

Are they hiring street captains into the Nextants or is that strictly for the
PC-12?

Direct entry captains are PC-12 only. There are plenty of PC-12 captains waiting in line to fly a jet.

Do you think they will end up switching from the 8/6 setup or is that being taken ok? Something like 4/3(tradewind) would attract more people with families or other commitments that 8 days out keep you from. Seems like they are filling classes so that won't be a priority. I'm against working for free/cheap, but would take a lower paying/benefits package in exchange for a good schedule.

The schedule is always a topic when we have discussions with mgmt. I doubt we would go to a 4/3. It would be very difficult given the type of operations we do. We have been pushing to return to 7/7. Will that get approved? Who knows.

I'd imagine it'd depend on what demographic they're targeting. All my college aged friends heard about the 8/6 schedule and were jealous. If they're gunning for fresh blood that schedule is amazing.

Yeah it sounds like the 8/6 is probably easier for the scheduling dept with pilots commuting and getting repositioned. If the pay keeps going up would be interesting to see if the 121/135s try to offer a good schedule over paying more.
