Default tall pilots

I'm tall at about 6'4". I'm used to cramming myself in to small cockpits. I'm awaiting an interview at NJA. If i were to get assigned the 400xp, would I be able to fit? What about the ultra or xl? Are there any tall pilots over there?

They actually do a "fit" on day two of the interview. They will have you sit in 3-4 acft (whatever is there) and see if you are comfortable in it. A lady with a clipboard will check off the acft to see if you fit. Me, I was an m&m shy of not fitting in the Ultra! Just kidding.

You will fit. In my indoc class, there was a guy that around your height. He is flying the ultra. Hope for a H-4000, it has a roomy cockpit.

I know nothing about corporate aircraft, what in NJA's fleet has the largest cockpit (aside from the DA-2000)? What about the smallest?

I'm 6'5" and the only jet I haven't been able to squeeze into are the older lears (and that's fine by me). You'll fit in a 400 if I can fit into a citation II.

I wouldn't worry about the 400, on the 18 day schedule I just broke 300 hours last year, so add in some sim time and you won't have to cram in for too long.

Hi!

NJA's largest are the Gulfstreams, then the DA2000s, then the G250? (the big Israeli jet), then probably the Hawker. The biggest Citation cockpit is the Sovreign.

I know I can't speak for any bizz jets but at 6' 7" i greatly understand your dilemma but it will probably be an issue I will have to deal with in the future as I would like to work for a company like CS or NJA. I'd like to hear how it works out for ya or other vertically gifted people's stories.
