Default CS Turbine PIC requirement?

Was this an oversight initially om my part or is the requirement new? I was recently checking out the job openings and apparently theres a 500 hour fixed wing PIC turbine time requirement......

Thanks

What?

There are THOUSANDS of pilots out of work or soon to be out of work. Ya think 500 PIC turbine is a typo?

Avantair flies turbo props and they have OVER 2,000 resumes on file.

...eagle pilots...sheesh. How's that 16 year contract working out?

Yep we all better get used to being in our current positions for awhile unless we have 5 or 6 thousand hours. It sucks but it will change again in a few years I hope, thankfully I got lucky and have a fairly descent 135 charter gig which I think at least for know is fairly stable, some really deep pockets are always great to have. I wish all on the airline side the best and hope we can work out this oil issue soon, because like everyone I would love to advance to bigger and hopefully better equipment and with all these layoffs thats going to get increasingly harder for lower time pilots.

How many more years until the age 60+ers hit the new age 60 (retirement age).

That is when things will change. Upgrades will again start to happen, the price of oil will drop, management will value empoyees, birds will sing.........., Oh wait I was just dreaming, at least the upgrades will start again....

Obama gets elected... Iran gets frisky... Iran gets nukes... oil hits $300 per barrel... $4 per gallon is referred to as the good ol' days...
