NOOOOOO, FL510 you were doing so well until you came up that number....No, not 800, not true. If we furlough 800, then the whole ship is going down..
Before the "early out" offer, the rumor was about 300. Now with some of the older guys leaving, and some others taking LOAs, I'm thinking maybe a buck and half, or maybe a deuce. I think 200 is a reasonable number.....(my guess)
Wasn't my number. I thought that number was high too. However, that may include not only voluntary LOA's/early outs, but cuts at NJI and non-flying support personnel.
Guess we'll all find out in the next few weeks or so.
Wonder what will happen as more and more clients' contracts get to the end. How many will renew? Only time will tell. Hope the numbers stand at just a few hundred, and do NOT reach thousands to furlough..
Those poor pilots on the very bottom of the list that went through all that BS to get hired at NJ are now going to be furloughed!!!!! That is the very definition of injustice! I know NJ management cannot be blamed for the economy but they need to figure out a way to keep these guys on property. For a pilot group the size of NJ dont tell me that they cannot survive without letting go of 200 pilots, I dont believe it. Management should be ashamed of themselves.
Good luck to those guys that get cut....its terrible but I have been there and you will get through it.
Don't feel like I went thru any BS to get hired. I also think that management has done a tremendous job of taking care of their pilots. There are an equal number of pilots at any number of airlines that went through hoops to get hired, only to be furloughed and NOT have the options presented them as at NetJets. In fact there are quite a few more pilots that would have been potentially furloughed had management not come to the union with the options they did. Thank you for your concern though.
is not a rumor, just common sense. We're fat X number of pilots, X number took the early the out, but like blueridger said, not enough to offset our overstaffed situation.... and we all knew it, we understand the situation we're in..
Santulli is exploring every possible avenue, he does not want to furlough, but then again, there's only so much he can do. He's certainly got my loyalty.....I'll be here for as long as they want me, best job I've ever had
How soon they forget all the DIRTY that went on from both sides while negotiating a new contract for five years... but management cares so much about the pilots that it is killing them to furlough. Please. That contract has all the NetJet pilots drinking the kool-aid.

Alright my friends, LET ER RIP!
Ah yeah, that's what was missing, effsharp and his positive observations.... I've read some of your posts, do you have anything positive to say about anything???
You don't work for NetJets, so us drinking the company's kool aid shouldn't really affect you all that much, correct???
one more thing, with your attitude you need to go work for an airline (if you aren't already) and get involved with the union. You'd make an excellent ALPA rep..... ALPA needs people like you.
NetJets has set the bar too high for contests against management. I wouldn't dream of trying to top it.
Just easy with language, Bruin... its not necessary. Lose the anger...
not angry, just that we finally have a good pilot-management working relationship, we're one of the very few companies that do, so it bothers when people accuse us of drinking the kool aid....

no worries, moving on
This particular statement is nonsense and mostly projecting your own thoughts onto others. Which companies do you speak for??
