Default NetJets Furloughing?

Any truth to the rumors that NetJets will be furloughing if not enough guys take the early out offer? I'm hearing they need to cut 200.

That seems to be the case as it stands right now. It seems the voluntary measures are as of yet insufficient to prevent a furlough.
The good news out of all this is that the voluntary measures were successful enough to reduce the furlough number by well over 50 percent. The company will announce the final number shortly and those that need to be cut will have the option of taking a long-term LOA or taking the furlough.

is not a rumor, just common sense. We're fat X number of pilots, X number took the early the out, but like blueridger said, not enough to offset our overstaffed situation.... and we all knew it, we understand the situation we're in..

Santulli is exploring every possible avenue, he does not want to furlough, but then again, there's only so much he can do. He's certainly got my loyalty.....I'll be here for as long as they want me, best job I've ever had

I'm sorry for all of those affected , but I tip my hat to NetJets management for the way they have handled this. They truly are a class act.

Agree 100%.

I now hear they need to cut about 800 positions. Hope it's not true, but I'm afraid it is. When will the bleeding stop?

NOOOOOO, FL510 you were doing so well until you came up that number....No, not 800, not true. If we furlough 800, then the whole ship is going down..

Before the "early out" offer, the rumor was about 300. Now with some of the older guys leaving, and some others taking LOAs, I'm thinking maybe a buck and half, or maybe a deuce. I think 200 is a reasonable number.....(my guess)

Any chance that nonpilots will also be furloughed? Just wondering if that would make the total number in the ballpark of 800.
