Default Avantair Commute Policy

Does anyone know if Avantair allows their pilots to commute, or do they have to live within a specified drive time/distance to their gateway?

They allow both. They prefer you live within two hours of the gateway you choose.

Negative. The FO pay was recently adjusted. I have no idea how long upgrade times will be as it depends on growth and attrition. We are still growing, but attrition is very low as you may expect.

Captain First Officer
$47,000 $35,000 Year 1
$53,000 $42,000 Year 2
$64,000 $44,000 Year 3
$66,000 $46,000 Year 4
$72,000 $48,000 Year 5
$81,000 $50,000 Year 6
$91,000 $52,000 Year 7
$93,000 $54,000 Year 8
$95,000 $56,000 Year 9
$98,000 $58,000 Year 10

The commuting policy is zero tolerance. You are responsible for being in place for the start of your tour.

An update to the Avantair page was sent in but it has not been posted yet. It included the window for the resumes of 11/7 through 11/21 as well as the recently announced salary change and number of aircraft on property. We have 55 P180's and one Astra.

Is there a training contract ??

FO pay is kinda low if you're stuck in the right seat for a while..........

When you upgrade, do you move to Captain pay at your current longevity - ie 3 years at company, upgrade and switch to 3 year captain pay - or is it like Floptions where you go to first-year captain pay when you upgrade?

Is the "2 hours from Gateway" a hard and fast rule? I am 3 hours from IND or CMH. Plus...once you are assigned a gateway (IND for instance) could you ever switch if another one became available (I am 1 hour from Louisville)?

Thanks again for the replies.

In the past there has been a 1 year training contract but I cant remember the amount. If you do some searching on this board you might be able to find it.

If you live more then 2 hours away from your gateway you would be considered a comuter.

CA pay is based on longevity. 3 years at the company = 3rd year CA pay at 64k.

If you guys and gals have any more questions dont hesitate to ask or send a PM

Best of Luck!

Is there any word on how many resumes are coming in? I would assume with the current state of hiring in the industry, the number would easily be in the thousand's.
