The captains make descent money but no where near where it should be. You will get no vacation. You will work more days than they say. You will not be compensated for all of the extra days you work. You will leave be up to fly out on your first day at 4 am! If you are lucky you might get home to eat dinner at your house on your last day. Most of the time depending on where you live you might not get home until 10pm on your last day. Plan on being gone 18-22 days a month. You will cover the jet when the other fo is in training, misses the commute due to cancellation, wx, or is sick. Pay will never improve as long as they can find flight instructors or low time guys to warm the seat. Trust me they try to spit shine the sh&t out of the fact it's a delta company! It is nothing like being a Delta pilot! The chief and the assistant chief are great guys but they have nothing to work with because of Big D's handcuffs on them.
Wow!!!! That's a lot of negative.....

Just saying how it is!!! Not one person will say its a great job. It's a place to go when all other options are exhausted, and some will say that is a stretch.

When we meet a DPJ crew in the FBO we feel bad for them. The crews look tired and miserable. It has turned into a stepping stone for low time pilots as well as a home for guys who couldn't get hired anywhere else because of their own personal history. In a nut shell, you have been warned. They own nothing but the CVG FBO. The big D could pull the plug tomorrow if they wanted.

Also, DPJ is not a fractional. It is a bottom feeder 135 and should not be in the fractional board.

They are some of the unhappiest in the business I've noticed. Everyone has bad days, and I've certainly been shouted at by them all, but DPJ is fairly consistently ****y.

If you check in with the front desk as "CAPTAIN [last name]" you're probably a douche. If you do this at 8pm with your aviators on, you're definitely a douche. And then I look like a douche when your name in the computer says "Captain [probably fake name]". Sigh.

They do NOT sell shares. They DO 135 charter and sell a part.135 jet card.
