Home based if you live near an airport served by multiple mainline airlines. 8/6 is one of many reasons people are bailing...pay that isn't commensurate with the number of days worked, and no pay scale, has gotten old. Unless you're at a regional that is losing its aircraft through the game of whipsaw, I'm not sure why guys would apply to XO these days.

Are the travel days to the plane included in the 8 "on" or is that part of your 6 "off"? Doesn't Netjets do a 7/7 schedule? Is 8/6 really that much worse? Not being a wise guy here, btw. I'm interested in your answer because I'm currently employed with a much, much worse schedule and am hoping to move on to a place with a better schedule in the future. Thanks in advance.

It's not the end of the world, but when you look at our daily rate based on salary and days worked and compare with #1 and #2, it's pretty low. And as Lear said, travel to/from work is on company time (with a few exceptions that make no sense), which is a big plus!
