I read up on XOJET and noticed it (possibly) has the sort of schedule I'm looking for, is the 15/13 thing still offered? Company paid tickets? Business or better? Commute on "on" or "off" days? Allowed to live anywhere in the US or world?

Yes to all that. Except I doubt business or better and you "commute" on the 1st and last day...Not sure about anywhere in the world, I mean you could but doubt they would pay for those tickets.... And i am guessing that the 15/13 is based on availability.

The company has been hiring guys on the east coast over the past 6 months. Perhaps as the attrition picks up, this could change on a case by case basis. The 15/13 is also a case by case. They typically don't want new hires on that schedule, but that doesn't mean it can't be worked out.

Why the hell do they even openly advertise on bizjetjobs and other sites if you require an internal rec to get hired? Seems like the only way to get your resume noticed is if you know someone currently working there.

Last I heard we're hiring out of both Coasts again as they over did the East Coast hiring. No LOR needed for an interview but it certainly helps. If you don't have one then a job fair is a must. A few random people have been called without some sort of recommendation or FTF meeting but your chances obviously aren't as great without either of those two.

Affirm. Hiring from both coasts. Internal rec definitely helps. We spend weeks together so if someone can vouch that you are a good pilot and going to be fun to work in very close proximity with for a week (sometimes longer if you do doubles) that goes a looooong way. The few doozies that have come through lately and since left after a short period of time have made it much harder to get a call without a rec.
