GMJ is is owned/managed by XO, but has a different seniority list, aircraft, etc. They fly the corporate shuttles for a large manufacturer of microprocessors between PDX or HIO (cannot remember which), IWA, the bay area, and maybe a few other places. Last time I heard, starting pay was 52 - 55k and the schedule was pretty easy. You're home every night. No possibility of commuting.

Had the phone screen early June and the tech interview about 2 weeks ago. I suspect they'll be in touch with you soon about the next phase since they'll likely want to pool 5-6 guys together for in-person interview dates.

I've seen this question touched on pages (years) back...saying that XO was military friendly. Is that still the case? I know they can't say anything legally, but would it create problems if your mil duty happened to fall during your "8 on" cycle? I wouldn't even mind not getting paid for the mil days taken.. just wouldn't want to seem like I'm abusing the system. An 8/6 schedule plus approx 4 mil days taken on the "off" days would be brutal. Any current Guard/Reserve flyers there care to touch on it?

There's plenty of military guys here... I've flown with and personally have interviewed a bunch of them and can tell you there's no secret discrimination there. I can also tell you that a lot of them got the job by getting face time at a job fair or knew someone here.

I had my phone interview on June 16th, and finally got an email saying I'm moving onto the tech phase July 3rd, and to expect someone to contact me in the next few weeks to schedule the tech phase. My buddy there says they are really swamped. I think adding another layer of interviews probably has something to do with.

Turnover (pilots) is extremely high at XOJET right now which is probably why they are swamped. They will get to you so don't worry. Just prep yourself for the tech part by reviewing Jepps and approaches at JAC, ASE, and EGE

Okay great! I have Jepps for my current job but not into any of those airports so I suppose the NOS charts will work.

I got away with FAA charts on my tech interview. I have access to Jepp as well, but my current employer only stocks FAA in the airplanes so I'm more current on those. Guy doing my tech interview didn't seem to be too concerned about it.
