That was one of my problems with the TBA. On the document they have you sign there is no stated value. There is also no mention of prorating the amount. I was literally shaking my head as I signed the TBA. As I have said many times before, I waited until I was clear of the TBA and had absolutely no issues with going.

From speaking to people who had to deal with the impact of the TBA, the full amount is approximately 20K. That includes the training, the hotels, rental car, and meals while in training. Also talking to people that had to deal with it, there is no set rule on if they will prorate it or not. It seems that the nature of your departure really determines how hard and for how much they go after. If there is on truly bad thing about Avenge it is the TBA.

Thanks. So worst case if one leaves early they can ask to recoup about $20k worth for training. That may be a good trade off if you want to move on to a "perceived" better gig.

Not wanting to hijack a thread meant for the Fractionals, if there are more questions about overseas contractors please lets post in the Part 135 section about these companies.

PS. Avenge is also discussed in the thread

Ahem... how 'bout those Home Based jobs?

Doing 'home based' currently, with 60/60 rotations. But I'd like to find something stateside, that gets me home a little more frequently. Gotta keep the wifes boyfriend on his toes, I'm too damn predictable at the moment....
