Default Cell cervice ??

My wife and I are fed up with sprint. We want to switch service, maybe Verizon , Cingular or Alltel. We both travel alot as I am a pilot and she a F/A.
What cell companies are recommended. by that I mean, most of the folks on here travel throughout the country. So any input on dead areas or who you think is best and why will be helpfull. Thanks...

hehehe--we got fed up with verizon and are switching back to sprint this summer when the 2 year deal runs out.

all cel service sucks so you just need to go with the cheapest.

i second that, they are more worried about picture messaging and dumb song downloads then actual service.

The only place I couldnt get any signal on my sprint phone was the little airport in Tombstone Arizona. Sprint's customer service inhales deeply. In order to get new phones, we have to renew our contract and then still dont get the same low prices as a brand new customer...???

Default Try T-Mobile, they're cheaper

I've been with T-Mobile for 3 years now. They are significantly cheaper than any other national provider I've found. Their coverage is not as broad as Verizon or Cingular, however, they allow you to piggy-back onto other GSM networks such as Cingular and others for free, so it really expands the available coverage area. I frequently use it in areas where my Verizon friends don't get service. I have used Sprint, ATandT, and Tmobile, and prefer Tmobile.

Thumbs up T-Mobile vs. Sprint

I too had Sptint for 5 years of frustration before firing them. Have been with T-Mobile for 3 years without a complaint.

We were with T-moble before Sprint. The only good thing about sprint is that we get the WN discount. which still doesnt add up to crap..

I had Verizon for 4 yrs and then switched to Sprint becuase it was cheaper. I really did'nt have too many problems with Verizon. With my company I get 25% off my bill with Sprint. I have had problems with Sprint...it seems as thought 1 out of every 6 calls drops because of poor signal. Anyway Verizon is better than Sprint but Sprint is cheaper. One good thing with Sprint is that if you do have a dropped call, you can press *2 and when it promps you say "drop call credit." It will credit you with up to 1 minute at the highest local rate. It usually is 50 cents every time you call....One month I had a credit of $15 dollars on my bill.

I have Nextel,i only got it at the time for the direct connect with my other family members, now that all the other Companys are getting that same feature,i am leaving Nextel.Rarely did i get dropped calls, but i do find alot of dead zones and can not make the call in the first place to get dropped,i guess thats their way of not being known to drop calls...after my contract is up i am going to look for a new service with another Company
