An Airline CEO would never just call another CEO and suggest raising prices. LOL that would be ludicrous. Can you imagine? The call would go something like this:
Putnam: Do you have a suggestion for me?
Crandall: Yes. I have a suggestion for you. Raise your ******* fares twenty percent. I'll raise mine the next morning.
Putnam: Robert, we--
Crandall: You'll make more money and I will too.
Putnam: We can't talk about pricing.
Crandall: Oh bull * * * *, Howard. We can talk about any ******* thing we want to talk about.

Had Crandall on a DAL flight out of LGA shortly after he stepped down from AMR. He kept a real LOW profile. Rumor had it he didn't usually fly on AMR because of animosity between he and AMR employees.
