Default static wick

Has anyone else seen the pic of the static wick in the eye? I believe it was a netjet pilot. If so where can I find it.

Holly excrement! Was he OK? That was sooo close to the eye. I've had nightmares of that happening to me.

From what I understand, he turned around the wrong way and just walked into the wick...

I have heard that he came out okay and made a full recovery and is back flying again, but don't know if any of my info comes from a good source.

Looks like a bad day though! Fortunately it was a Cessna wick and not one of the ones with the sharp barbs at the end. I'm curious to know how they removed it from the plane though- it doesn't look like they cut it off, so it must have been unscrewed... I would think that it felt really weird having the thing turned while it was in your head.

Haha, I've met this guy. I was driving him to the airport from the hotel and he says, "Remember that guy that had the static wick in his eye?" I go, "Yeah." He goes, "That was me!" Pretty cool guy actually.
