True. But you can still get a discount on a family plan if the iPhone is not the primary number. The discount will apply to the calling plan only - not the data. At $20/mo for unlimited data, the plan was pretty cheap. With the 3G data going to $30/mo, the plan will be in line with others like BlackBerry.

Don't have an iPhone, but a Blackjack2 and it's my 6th phone with ATT/Cingular/Bellmobile in over 8 years. I've been very happy with the phone service, as well as customer service. I rarely have a dropped call even out in rural areas.

Their technology is a little behind Sprint, T-Mobile and others but I think the reliability makes up for that. I rarely use all the features my phone has anyway. The 3G network is more than fast enough to check my email, and pull up weather radar while on a trip and that's all I need.

Hey guys.

Im not too up to date on the plans and phones and prices has to offer. I currently have Verizon, but was planning to make the switch to ATT because I have heard good things from many people, as well as they have roll-over which is a huge plus. Also, their phones are GSM, which is also a big plus for me, as I travel to Europe a lot, and can just swap out SIM cards once I figure out the SIM lock thing.

Basically the question I have is, you guys say there is a discount for ALPA member airlines? Or is it that specific airline it goes by? What type of discount is this? They ask for a work e-mail address on the ATT website, but I don't have one, any idea how I get one?? Kinda lost with what they need, and what the discount is in the first place

I was planning on switching soon, and just read about this so it would make it even a better deal. Thanks for any replies/info!

Get the new Treo with Sprint's Simply Everything plan which has unlimited talk, text, data, tv, navigation, etc for $99 a month. I switched from Cingular awhile ago and don't regret the move. Sprint has excellent coverage and their data network is loads faster than Cingular's. If you're not into Treos, then get a Blackberry/Crackberry.

Does it specifically ask for a "work" address? If not, just put in your personal one. Otherwise, ask the Chief Pilot's office how to get one.

No it has to be a work address, that way they can check in the data-base if you are eligible, and also send you some confirmation code or numer or w/e to that address I guess. Tried the CP office, told me to visit the perks section of the website but didnt find anything. hmm

Only if you dont have the int'l data roaming which starts at $25/month. I use it Asia/Europe all the time.

I have an iPhone and I love it, when the weather is bad and my flight is delayed...
