When Braniff broke out its 'flying colors' it changed the market for a short while. US liveries have for the most part been conservative and lacking any real jazz. Not so with the Europeans and others but this was one of Calder's 727s paint schemes. The tri-motor looked better in the various colors than the -8 and the 747SP.

And then you have this very rare one.

Some may not know that BI operated Concorde in an exchange with BA and flew from IAD down to DFW with Concorde for a while.. but with it required to stay subsonic, it lost tons of money and the deal was short-lived.

Supposedly, that plane never existed:

"Although many postcards show a Braniff Concorde, the Braniff livery was never applied to the left side of any Concorde, and the aircraft remained in the colors of British Airways and Air France throughout the operation."

Still a cool pic, though.

Not an old livery, but the FAs sure don't wear this anymore:

Some other FAs

You are correct. No airplane painted in BI colors however every time the airplane changed from BA to BI and back, the registration changed. To/From KDFW, it had an N number.

Default Ref: Classic F/A, Nee, "Stewardess" Photos, and History Lesson

I was pretty young but remember those days. There's a lesson here.

Send these photos to your respective airline's CEO. When the gals in back dressed like this, airlines generally didn't go bankrupt.

We should see record profits before Thanksgiving.
