That sucks. What if your in nasty turbulence and one of the pilots really needs to use the lav? Sorry FA, your gonna have to stand... good luck not bumping your head.

Back in the day when I used to be an airline pilot the FAs sat in the only place where they could actually fit...i.e. the empty seat. If they werent allowed to sit there they would have to either leave the door open or become a pretzel.

Sometimes I wonder about the public....

I agree that it is way oout of context, but on the Brasilia there is nowhere for the FA to stand. So they sit in the seat, no big deal.

Probably safer to let the computers take off, fly and land the planes. They don't need sleep, they don't drink and they can keep their hands off the stewardesses."

This second quote sounds like a script from a bad aviation movie:

"It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. It was less than 15 years ago that an Airbus A310 crashed on a flight from Moscow to Hong Kong when the captain's son was sitting in the captain's seat, the plane got out of control, and the captain was unable to take his seat due to the G forces. Everyone onboard died."

Yeah... sorry, I don't do that. I just get paid to put the gear up or down when you tell me to, and call the runway at 12 'o clock. =D

Besides - she is the woman (!) that would have brought that airplane to the destination, on time, and without blown tires... probably even without help of the FO on the right seat.

All seriousness aside, whats the big deal? From what I hear she might well be a 412.875 hour Captain and then it's actually safe to have someone make sure the JAFFO doesn't touch anything...
