Anyone have any good gouge on this new Verizon Android phone coming out next week?

I am free to terminate my VZ contract and am thinking of sticking with my ATT Blackberry Bold. ATT coverage sucks. VZ coverage is great. Considering sticking with VZ and trying the new Android phone...

No I don't have any info on the Android. I recently quit VZW and went with ATT and the Bold for 2 months. Hated it for all the reason your mentioned, bad coverage. Even in large urban areas. The amount of phone drop calls were annoying and unacceptable. Even the people I frequently call who use land lines noticed the difference in quality and increase in dropped calls.

If I were in your shoes, I would do nothing. Wait for the ratings and for others to leap into the Android. If it is good, make the leap. If not, try ATT but I think you'll end up disappointed like I was.

I have used ATT for the last 2.5 years as my employer has been paying for it. I drop calls everyday with it. I usually will call the person back on my personal VZ cell. I think I'll stick with VZ.

So, now my question, since VZ doesnt offer the BB Bold, which Blackberry devices do you guys enjoy the most? I've seen the touchscreen BB Storm II commercials on TV. I am not a big fan of touchscreen typing though. Any input??

I use the Curve. It is "ok". I really liked the Bold,, the WiFi option rocks.

I currently have a Storm with VZW. It takes a little getting used to but I have been very happy with it. After about 3 weeks you are typing just as fast on the touch screen. The storm 2 probably cleared out the kinks with the first generation so it might be worth looking at. I have had 1 dropped call with VZW in about 6 months. That being said the Droid looks like it will be pretty good.

FYI .... 9 out of 10 VZW Storm phones are returned. It is a very big marketing flop.
