I'm so glad to have seen a lot of shuttle launches in person down in Titusville etc.
This time I had to watch it online though. Still awesome ! =).

When is the last one going up?

In 97 I got to watch a night launch from a Warrior. Beck then, the prohibited area was much smaller: if you were west of US1, you were safe. I figure we were maybe 7-8 miles away. The fire from the tail was bright enough to read the instruments.

There are two more on the books right now.

NASA - NASA's Shuttle and Rocket Launch Schedule

STS-134 April 19 (targeted for)

STS-135 June 28 (targeted for)

I'm hoping to go to Orlando for the April 19th launch.

Watched a night launch in 99 or 2000 from the beach in New Smyrna. You're right, it was unbelievably bright.

I would suggest an early start out to the Cape and by early I do mean early for these last 2 launches due to heavy traffic.
