Default pistol grip flashlight / carry-on

(there should be a "self loading freight" forum)

I plan on traveling with a pistol grip flashlight (example below) in my carry-on bag. The normally sane would say "who care?", but what will the TSA say? Am I gonna have trouble with them?

Princeton Tec makes diving lights- don't say pistol, say "diving". Just say I have a diving light with me for my Southern Illinois diving trip.

It is indeed a dive light, and I am going to a coastal state.

I have also seen where an object in a womans bag looked like an Acme bomb. The search of the bag revealed it was a harmless makup compact. Should have been good for a laugh and move on, right? The conversation of whether the item should be allowed through because it looked like a weapon on the monitor was... disturbing.

Make sure you don't inadvertently say "postal state" either.

Further evidence that there is a maximum IQ level to be a featured performer in "Security Theater."
