I'll never, ever understand why people pay for Starbucks. Coffee's free at most hotels, if you really want some at the airport it's cheaper almost anywhere else, and if you just gotta have that caffeine fix, caffeine pills are a significantly easier and cheaper alternative. Seriously. But a long line when you're in a rush is super inconvenient, yeah.

Its free, but its hotel sink water brewed through a panty hose warmer laced with corn syrup solids "creamer". I'll gladly pay $2 for a Pikes blend or an expresso brewed Americano with fresh half and half.

I just wish they'd have a seperate cash and carry coffee only line for the busy periods. Even 4 or 5 people in line can be an all day thing if they're all ordering high mx froo froo drinks for their entire families.

Starbucks makes near gourmet coffee depending on how fresh it is, and a cup is worth it occasionally as a treat. But every day is too expensive. I too wish they would have a fast lane for those who appreciate simple gourmet coffee and are not there for sundaes or whatever it is that takes so long to make. Most people are there for a sugar fix which is really annoying to the simple coffee buyers.

In the context of long term health, is there anything wrong with hotel sink water? And while I'm referring to lobby coffee, is there any truth to FA's using coffee makers for their pantyhose?

The reason Starbucks doesn't have an "express" line is because, if you've waited for 15 minutes behind people ordering their expensive fu-fu lattes, you may, upon realizing it's finally your turn, feel like you're entitled to treat yourself to one because of the hassle you just endured.

Foreign crews do weird crap like that. I don't use the coffee makers in the rooms.

The length/complexity of the drink is directly proportional to the dbag ordering it.
