What's going on in the Ukraine
#31
We have the makings for our own little civil war in the thread.
Just a guess, but Ukrainians don't give a hoot about your value judgements and neither do the Russians. Show up and they might hand you a rifle and let you make a statement with that, or maybe they would just shoot you because you make too much noise.

Neither Russia nor the Ukraine has any time for personal opinion banter. They have a war to fight, people to kill and oppress, planes to shoot down, and propaganda to fling non-stop in all directions.
Step aside Middle East and the African continent; these folks want to show they can slaughter each other with the best of them.

I guess I just don't understand the sentiment, if you were once in the Soviet sphere you must remain in the Russian sphere. There is an aggressor in this fight. Not to say the Ukrainians are innocent but they are not the aggressors. Should they roll over. If only the Isrealis would start committing suicide bombings on themselves we could have peace in the Middle East.

Force and power are the ultimate way to settle differences. History shows that has never changed and will not change.
It is pretty one-sided in this situation but wars are not about being on equal footing or playing by fair set rules. Otherwise, there would be far far fewer wars.

Start? They've been bombing themselves ever since they created Hamas well over 20 years ago.
How Israel helped create Hamas - The Washington Post
Read the news once in a while hahaha.

Howdy Sounds.
I thought I would provide some answers to some questions you asked of FDXLAG.
I am just curious to see how I am viewed by you with the answers I provide. Not probing to start up anything. Just curious.
I am previous military.
I am a baby boomer.
I am retired and well into a second career.
I grew up obtaining most of my formal school education from BOOKS and lectures as there was no internet to draw upon.
I do believe in basic right and wrong.
I have never had an issue saying the U.S.A. Pledge of Allegiance (even with the term “God” used in it).
Even though I am not very religious, I have no problem saying Merry Christmas.
Thank you.

Get on that net right now and get your moral compass swung for calibration!
Or, you can go to a few Wars and see how that works, but you have to get out of your mom's basement first. Those inter webs don't have much to say on that, just all that dialectical materialism.

Got it Jungle.
I am going to get on that net and work real hard to get my moral compass calibrated. I have heard that one might be able to surf to the end of the net. If I work very hard at it and stay diligent, do you think I might be able to do that?
I tried going to a war once. It was interesting, exhilarating, and depressing all at the same time. I am not sure how that worked.
Of all the things you say I need to do, do I really have to leave my mom’s basement? I have security there and I am safe to get on the net and get my views and thoughts calibrated and corrected.
Ya know man, it sure would be a bummer if someone was to accuse me of being a product of MY generation. Just wouldn’t be cool dude!
