Default A330 scheduele

Could someone please tell me an average monthly scheduele for a Hawaiin A330 pilot. LAX to HNL is about 6 hours, so do they fly one day and then off the next or how does that work?

You can nominate for TOTD if you like, but since you repeated it twice:

Schedule (at least in the good ole USA)

Schedule depends on seniority. It Can vary quite a bit. Junior trips are generally lax and las redeye trips, two/three days trips.
Full of luv I wouldn't go as far as calling him a tool. You know Hawaii public schools aren't up to par with the rest of the mainland. Too much surfing and poke that's why.

But he did spell Hawaiian wrong so maybe...

On the 330 almost all trips are one leg per day, not including deadheads. We are getting more deadheads now with flights going to OGG and KOA. Most junior trips are redeyes to LAX & LAS, but after that it can vary quite a bit. In June the bottom FOs were juniored into lines as the reserves went pretty senior. Junior lines (and reserve) will have 12 days off a month or less, if you request it to get a line. The lower level lines might include trips to OAK (2 & 3-day), SFO (2-day), SEA (2 & 3-day) and maybe an international trip if it falls on a holiday or busy weekend. The most senior trips tend to be the high-time 3-days like SYD and JFK. With those you just don't have to work as many days a month since you get more hours per trip. Some of the trips can be pretty brutal, like a current one that starts with an evening deadhead to OGG, redeye to LAX that arrives around 5am, then work the 6pm trip back to HNL that afternoon. Also most people don't like the turns with a heavy crew to American Samoa (currently 767 only) and Tahiti. Those are two-legs out & back leaving in the afternoon and getting back around 6am. But a few people who can handle the long nights like them for getting a lot of time in within a short trip. As a mid-level FO expect to have 13 - 14 days off a month, with a mix of trips wherever you want to go. You can have short two-day trips to PDX, SFO, SAN, SEA, or longer trips to AKL (4 or 5 days), BNE (3 or 4 days), ICN (3 or 5 days), PEK (3 days) or HND or KIX (both 3-day). There is a lot of redeye flying, including all the Asia & South Pacific flying, so the all-daylight trips go pretty senior.

Hey... I love the poorly educated! I was submitting myself to be nominated as TOTD.
After living in Hawaii for 10 years with kids, I agree that some of the public schools have some different priorities (including furlough Fridays!). I would add to your list, a little too much pakalolo in the high schools as well.

Do most of the HNL-mainland trips have min rest overnights? Looks like most flights land at night and leave around mid morning. And do most flights from KOA and OGG involve a deadhead at the front/back of the trip? or are there trips where you go HNL-mainland-KOA/OGG-mainland-HNL?

It's a complete mix. There are short overnights, longer overnights. 3-days. Everything with a neighbor island leg has one or two deadheads. Front, back or both.

Gotcha, thanks for the response! Seems like a variety to choose from once you get a bit of seniority.
