...and from other senior eagle pilots I talked to, the AA flowthrough thing for all new hires is just a "kook-aid" ploy...but who knows

Today's new hires at any regional airlines can't think of going to any major for at least 7-10 yrs any ways..... 5-6 yrs for upgrade & then 3-4 yrs for PIC time..... So what if Eagle to AA flow is a false hope, at least it is HOPE.

The biggest thing that it gives is movement in the airline. And I think the movement is going to be big, where the most senior Eagle captains flow through to AA; the Junior captains & senior FO's can join other majors if they get a job at DAL or FEDEX or any other place before their seniority # for AA is called.

The new FO of today may or may not get the flow through, who cares, at least It will make the life of an FO hired today decently easy to survive those initial years at the regional.

Eagle mgmt has continously said that Eagle is top heavy & mgmt will love to see their senior captains & FOs go....
If Eagle reduces it's payroll cost by shedding the TOP 5% captains, It will make eagle more profitable & competitive, so Eagle will retain its flying it has now.

I'd like to see a survey of the top 10-20% of Eagle Captains that are going to take a new hire job at American with year 1 seniority and sit reserve @ JFK. Now all the the doofuses can jump in and say, "But, it would be a767". I say, "Who gives a shizzle!". $100k+, in base your sked (Eagle) v.s. NYC crash pad 1st yr pay and reserve (AA). Lol! Factor that!

I know someone who went on 20th & was sent back because of PRIA issues from the part 141 flying school he went to. The scholl had been sold & was operating under a new name under new management.
The HR guy said "I can't verify checkride/stagecheck failures, so U need to come back after 90 days........"

That day 6 of 13 were sent back within 1 hour for paperwork issues....

From the immediate reaction of Eagle HR guys, it appears that they did not like the announcement....
How are they gonna verify that????? My part 141 school deletes all records after one year. The only verifiable as far as i know are thefaa checkrides.
