Default Cessna Jump Pilot in Tampa needed

Saw this on Dropzone.com if you live in tampa might be a huge help, you will most likely need to have time flying jumpers, and def need 25 in type, also it is part time to start, so i would assume u want to be local

"Skydive Tampa is Needing a Pilot for weekdays and some weekends. This is a part time position with our c-182 we are trying to build our weekday business. Please contact Doug Kirk @ 727-389-0602 "

The definite 25 in type is not always true. I had 290 hours total and 1 hour c182RG when I started flying jumpers (not at this company or anything). And yes, we have insurance that I am specifically named on. I just don't want anyone to feel discouraged if they didn't have the time in type because sometimes a guy gets lucky...

If anyone has any questions about skydive tampa feel free to ask me. I've worked there since 2007 flying their jump planes. I'm deployed in Iraq at the moment until the first of 2011. The DZ isn't actually in Tampa, it's in Lakeland. I know Doug and the DZ owner quite well. This isn't anything you can do unless you live with your parents or use it as a second job. The pay is awful.

Hi, You need a Commercial license to fly skydivers in the USA. And working for free undercuts the industry. Please don't do that. When you attain your CPL you have worth and a commercial operator should value that and you should value yourself.

Check out DiverDriver.com to stay up on the latest in the world of flying skydivers.
