Gender/sexual orientation/color is not a qualification, for any position.

There are guys getting picked up too without a PIC time - also a slap in the face of all those who worked hard and upgraded.
But in this industry, work ethic has virtually no correlation to whether or not an individual upgrades. You are implying that because someone has no PIC time, they are not a hard worker. You're also sounding a bit entitled.

^^^^ Worked hard and upgraded versus whom? Those who worked hard and got stuck in the right seat for 7-8 years? lol. Easy to pass off luck as ability.

Its all one big lottery, ability doesn't count for jack in the airline industry, at least for civilian pilots. If you believe it does......well.......

The days of women getting hired with super low times is long gone. Did it happen before? Yes. Women got picked up with amazingly low hours at United an other Majors. But that was long LONG ago. There are more than enough women aviators to "check the box" in the female category.

No one looks at you and says, "Oh you got hired because you're a white male." You have no idea how annoying it is to have someone say "Oh, you got hired because you're female" People (not everyone of course) assume we aviatrixes got our jobs because of our sex, not our skills or dedication.

Delta just hired a chick with 2 dui's. Not one. Dos! Can you imagine that happening to a guy? Never would it happen. So, with all due respect. You got hired because you're female.

Not long ago at all...unless you consider last 12 months "long ago." There are several. Some with as much as a wet signed ATP at min time.

Well said!

So there are many folks who took the test back in December and January who are still waiting for the interview phone call to come through. Any news of upcoming interview dates which they might be calling for soon?

Every now and then this thread inexplicably takes a turn and heads south into the realm of trash talk normally relegated to Flightinfo.com. It's time to knock it off and get back into the business of helping pilots who would like to come on board at Atlas.

Yup, AMEN to that. Didn't mean to derail the conversation. I had no idea it was still so bad. Sorry guys, must be tough to see those kind of shenanigans. I thought that was long buried stuff.

So back to the Atlas thread........hey look a squirrel!

A co-worker friend of mine got the phone interview today and offered the interview this coming Monday in Purchase. Kinda short notice! He called me in an excited/panicky state.
