That information is either vague (alludes to registering to attend) or unavailable (then states that registration is only for OBAP members) on their website, hence why I asked here.

39th convention

The PDFs from this link show early registration is over, but onsite registration is available. The PDFs also show when the career fairs start each day. If you aren't able to open the above link for some reason to get actual specifics, I can send you a copy.

Thanks, those links weren't up a few days ago when I was trying to look (or I missed them)... in any case the two way language is in the form as well...

PLEASE NOTE – YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE OBAP MEMBER TO ATTEND THE CAREER FAIR
Immediately followed by non-member registration fee schedules. Maybe registering for the fair makes you a member? I'm going to email/call them tomorrow to figure this out.

Now to juggle the schedule to make sure I get the days off that I need.

For those who have attended these, does the line start at about 6 or 7 AM? I really only have interest in seeing Atlas and want to make sure to be the first person they see then be on my way.

Unhappy Atlas and wives

While you may have a lovely wife who wants you to be home every second of everyday to care for her and a newborn baby, you need to decide on your own priorities as a man and state what you want and not post stuff that reads "per the wife" .

If your wife will not allow you to attend a job fair to invest time into developing your professional career to provide better care for her and your offspring, then I highly recommend you do not come to work at Atlas as this kind of wife will not support you in anything you do or anything you want to do in your own life unless she is in complete control of it and it makes her "happy". This kind of wife might divorce you eventually anyway because you lack the strength of character to stand up to her and be the actual leader in the relationship.

Either grab a sac and tell the forums you enjoy being submissive and obedient servant to her whims and you want to make her "happy" by staying home and getting a job that will allow you to be home and available everyday because she wants you to be with her......OR.....man up and let her know your career is extremely important to the livelyhood of your offspring with her and go to the job fair and get yourself an amazing job with lots of adventure and some freaking awesome co-workers.

I personally don't want you to look back in 20years from now when you are older and say, bummer, I wish I had a better job and flew at Atlas (or any major), but my wife wouldn't let me go to a job fair to make the connections and do the net working I needed.

Wouldn't you rather look back and say, I made the decision to not attend the job fair and not go to Atlas to be with my wife everyday because I wanted to be home everyday with her and see my baby grow up?

If you want a job at Atlas come and get it by going to a job fair, if you don't want a job at Atlas then don't go to the job fair and try to come here, but certainly don't blame your wife for not "allowing" you to go to a job fair.

Btw, being a stay at home father is great if she can make some good money, however if she is a stay at home mom and you are the only one bring home the bacon, then her primary duty is to care for the home & offspring which you hope is yours anyway (Aristotle reference on how woman are the only gender that knows that a child is definitely theirs).

This post seems a bit harsh, definitely in bad taste, and more in keeping with the usual found on Flightinfo.com than here. A simple "You and your wife will have to sit down and decided upon your priorities" would have sufficed.

CbusBased-

You have shown respect by honoring your wife's wishes. Your first responsibility is your wife and family and to provide for them. Atlas is not for you. Continue to look at other job opportunity's that would better fit your life. Flying a big plane around the world gets old real quick and you will be miserable.

Respect from BayBum
