Congrats to all the poolies!! That's great to see peeps getting there, really cool.
On the other end, I feel sometimes like a looser with this company. I have applied since 2011, updated regularly the resume and paq. Never got any calls or emails. Plenty of 121 rj time, 8000TT, 900 jet PIC, 1 job fair, 1 internal, nothing to hide, perfect record, nada...
I keep the faith though. Will be at OBAP to say hi, see if that helps somehow... if not, I'll start giving free carwash in the emplyee lot in purchase, NY or something.
Squeeky wheel get the grease, this one has been squeeking for a while now.

That is a question that is not even on the radar...it is simply not a concern one way or another. In all honesty, there are many more pressing issues, and this one is simply not on anyone's radar as one that needs to be addressed. The dozen or so guys that live abroad are welcome to make their case to the negotiating folks, but how much capital they wish to burn up just to get something that matters to a minute section of our population is yet to be determined.
It doesn't have to be either or, the right language benefits everyone.
I know you're in agreement that this group is sick of clauses benefiting a small slice of the group to the detriment of the majority.
All patterns need to start and end in your base.
So if you are making a deal with scheduling to start from overseas the only way to contractually do it is to have a pattern built as if you started from your base. In that case the trip should have gone to open time and awarded by seniority.

They don't. Some bases, most trips start and end in your base. Other bases, like JFK, they hardly ever start OR end in your base.
Not correct. For example, I have had trips that start in HSV. I am scheduled to be Gatewayed to HSV, then DH on Atlas to Europe, then hotel, then maybe DH or airline to somewhere else in Europe, or the Middle East, then have my first operating leg. If I was living (or visiting) in Europe, I could simple get airlined to the location in Europe or the ME where my trip started, and go from there. Nothing illegal about that.

Thus if you want to operate out of HKG to somewhere else the pattern must be able to show ANC-HKG, proper rest, then begin.

True enuf... All trips must SHOW That you started at your base however, you actually may not. I just flew an open time trip out of MIA last week and the schedule showed that I started at HSV (my base) commercial to miami then on the schedule. I never saw HSV, went right to MIA from home. In another month my schedule showed that I started in HSV with a commercial to FRA, however I never saw HSV, commercial flight from home to FRA. Regardless of what you actually do they have to show on the schedule that you start and end at your base, whether or not you see it is another thing.
