Guys in some of the bases seem to accumulate a large number of FF Miles which they are free to use for personal use. That may be of some use. I think there are some posts about this earlier in this thread.

I need some clarification on the PAQ form. On the form, it asks "Have you served either as a PIC or SIC on at least 2 turbojet airplanes with MTOW of >12,500lb?" I am wondering if they mean turbojet/turbofan, or do they really mean just turbojet? Same thing for all other questions regarding turbojet

I can't tell you how much I hate non-reving. It is the worst. Even jumps eating lately for the commute has become an entire days chore!

I took it to mean turbofan. I have 100 hours in a T-37 Tweet (turbojet). I don't think that's what will push me over the top.

Kme, if you feel you should write down the 100 hours, it's all good. But just be ready to explain where your time comes from and why you logged it. I've been asked about my 21 hours of turbine pic in a king air 200. But hey, it's there and I have it. Other than that, I would say just combine turbo fan and turbo jet.

By the way: What flies around nowadays with turbojets? Other than the Tupelovs at Cubana!

the distinction is jet time vs. turboprop time, not fan vs. jet. and it's no big deal either way. supposedly if you didn't have experience in two types, it triggered additional OE, but you'll most likely get that waived.

gvinflight: Lear 25s!

we keep hearing internally that the pool is empty. we'll know for sure when they start filling classes.

Excellent! I miss the sounds of the Lear 25! It was such a great plane! Well, there are plenty of hard working individuals here that are scratching at the Atlas door anxious to fufill their career dreams and goals!
