I started making my way through this thread a few months ago, and I've gotten about half-way through it (I stopped for a while and recently started again). Just got a call out of the blue yesterday from Atlas and the HR guy left a message. Tried calling him back yesterday and got voice mail. Finally got him today and he said he'd call me back in an hour. Never heard back from him, so I finally called him back, and once again got voice mail. Anyone know if this is typically how it goes with the initial phone call? Should I keep calling back or wait for the HR person to call me?

Congrats to those getting the call!
I just finished, as well...just hanging out at home until my IOE availability starts (getting to bid for your OE footprint is very new to me). The short course was great...just enough time to learn the new procedures and flows, but not too long. Just about perfect for someone current and typed.
See you guys at the CVG sort in a couple weeks.
I had a similar situation with my initial call. I missed it, called back, no answer, then played phone tag a couple times. I would stay on them without being annoying about it...I would suggest trying again on Monday if you don't hear back today. They're busy, but they won't forget about you. Congrats on getting the initial call!
Congratulations, now go enjoy your weekend!
I just wrapped up my time in Miami and am heading home tomorrow. Fast and furious, especially on the short course, 4 weeks to the day from interview to checkride! All the instructors have been great to work with. I look forward to the line.

I guess I got worried too fast, the call finally came. Now I have to take the online test by Monday. I know there is a ton of gouge posted on here in various places, but does anyone have a good consolidated file that has everything you need? I confess I sort of forgot about this over the last couple of months and didn't expect the call. Now I'm in the hot seat!

More questions about the test. I have been reading through the ATP test book to refresh, just in case my phone rings. Are there any subjects safe to skip, or is any question fair game? Such as weight & balance computations, or questions that have an associated diagram to interpret?

I was just getting ready to reply with I interviewed 5 Feb and have heard nothing yet, when the phone rang with a 914 area code. I'm in a 74 class on 11 March. You'll have to excuse my typos and grammar as I'm still shaking. Retired military KC-135, evaluator/instructor, Chief of Stan Eval, Chief of Safety, total 6700, pic 5300. I haven't grinned like this since my first flight of my RV-8. I look forward to meeting those in my class and thank everyone who has contributed to this forum. It has been invaluable. Good luck to everyone. Blue Skies

Staying in the game is tough...
..and the tough survive
MM2, I have not seen anyone post anything about wt&bal. That does not mean some training demogod will not modify the test.
KyTbrd's summary has been spot on according to those who have taken the test recently. So use that as a baseline. Weather diagrams, TAFs/Metars should be known cold. Polar wx, jetstreams, visual illusions were mentioned. NAT procedures.
Amhess: Good luck. It is tough to keep on top of all of this after many months of waiting. Sure you will do well.
Faith and patience to the rest of us

Don't worry, eventually the hand shaking and silly assed grin will fade...what am I saying, no they don't. I got mine many years ago and as I sat there stunned, they called back to apologise...they'd made a mistake...(OK, how do I do self CPR again?).
