Self inflicted?

10 years ago, AA sim instructors had no established route to line flying. They stayed at the school house. Maybe it's changed...?

No change, sim pilot instructors will never be allowed to fly. Last I heard it's starting pay 40K yr and lots of extra hours.

Get typed in airplane, will keep current by seat filling, taking R9, R18
Yet you are not current as far as trying to get on with main line.

Line bid your schedule every month, 20 days a month. 6 hour days, home every night. Not a commutable job. Great people to work for/with. Low pay first two years. Working on contract.
