I would really be surprised if that were the case.

Didn't sound like they were hurting for pilots in ground school on the other side. Also there is consideration of moving the B1900s to the 135 side.

Thats what they are slowly doing. They have two more -8s on the way from what I hear. Dont know a time frame on their entry into service.

Just saw that they "consolidated" both pay scales, starting pay on B1900 is now 50/hr. Take that Great Lakes XD

An attempt to try and make the 1900 people happy while they hire to the Dash for better pay, schedule, and QOL right off the bat.

The 1900 is a terrible job and I wish the few guys left in that thing all the best while they get bent over once again by the company.

Our next captain upgrade was hired in Nov of 2009.

That's 5.5 years and dropping. Although we want our new pilots to get a stab at the left seat as soon as possible, we find it takes about 3 seasons until you are solid.

As I look into my crystal ball for 2019, I see your upgrade time being in the 4 to 3 year range for a pilot that joins up for our June 16th class.

Shoot us an Email if you're interested. We would love to talk to you. If there is an item that is making it difficult for you to make the transition, let us know and we can work with you.

Fly, Safe.
